Ebola continues to spread in the DRC. The epidemic remains focused in Ituri and there are now more than 2000 cases overall with a 36% mortality rate. It seems that people who are treated in time at an Ebola centre do better. There are also trials of medication and a new vaccine.
Please pray for the staff who are treating patients. At Nyankunde 14 members of staff have been confirmed with Ebola. Two have died, one remains in hospital and 11 have recovered.
Please pray for perseverance for the population and everyone who is responding to this crisis.
Please pray that the vaccine works and can be swiftly manufactured and distributed
